Medicare Advantage dental benefits available to Peoples Health members in Louisiana

UnitedHealthcare Dental now provides dental benefits to Peoples Health Medicare Advantage members in Louisiana. Coverage started on Jan. 1, 2023, and includes the following types of plans:

• HMO-POS Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans
• HMO-POS plans
• PPO plans
• Group plans

As a dental professional in our network, you can provide care to Peoples Health members starting in 2023. You will be reimbursed for eligible services at your current PPO fee schedule.

Verifying member eligibility

Refer to the RxID/Policy number on the member ID card when verifying member eligibility. Note: Do not include the last 2 numbers of the RxID/Policy # (shown circled in red) or the system will incorrectly indicate the member is not eligible. Use the following methods to verify member eligibility before providing any plan benefits:

• Sign in to UHCdental.com and use the Eligibility Search tool
• Call Provider Services at 877-816-3596, 8 a.m.–11 p.m. CT, Monday–Friday
