Each quarterly newsletter, we like to include a success story highlighting one of our contracted network providers, and how they work closely with us to better serve UnitedHealthcare members. This quarter, we’re featuring 1st Scottsdale Dental out of Scottsdale, AZ.
Since 2013, 1st Scottsdale Dental has provided quality dental care in the Scottsdale, AZ area. Dr. Marjan Nejad began operating the practice in 2016 and has stuck closely to her belief that “my priority is not growing the practice. My focus is on giving quality care.”
Dr. Nejad is active in the Arizona dental community. She organizes fundraisers and participates in events centered around provider care for under-served patients. She implements the latest dental technology in her practice. For example, in 2017 she began placing implants and recently began using digital 3D imaging scans instead of traditional impressions.
Patients of 1st Scottsdale Dental like that they have a small practice. One patient said, “It doesn’t feel like a dental clinic. It’s a very homey atmosphere.” The size of the practice allows Dr. Nejad to give each patient her full attention and maintain a focus on quality care. The advice 1st Scottsdale Dental has for other practices is to “focus on the patients as people, not how much money they can give you.”
